Kwan
Kwan Lee leads Lasso MD's product team and IT. His job is to build analytics software that's easy to use and gives practices clear visibility into their marketing spend, so they can convert more patients and get a better return over time. He built PatientLoop from the ground up, and the platform is on its way to 1,000 practices.
Kwan has been a software engineer since 1998. He holds master's degrees from Cornell and MIT and a Ph.D. from MIT, and he has owned the software platform and data at startups, private equity-backed firms and public companies in telecom, consumer electronics, ed tech, insurtech, e-commerce and venture capital. He has scaled product and engineering teams from zero to 60, inherited organizations of more than 100 and helped turn companies near bankruptcy into profitable businesses. He has managed remote international teams since 2012 and writes and speaks on high-performing remote teams, replatforming decisions, building marketing analytics on disparate data sources and how AI is changing the software product lifecycle.
Kwan's connection to dentistry is personal. He has dealt with dental issues since childhood, and most of his healthcare spending has gone to dentists. Away from the screen, he plays just about any sport going, including golf, snowboarding, soccer, basketball, tennis, climbing and surfing.
